Who are You Becoming? Part 1

"So here we are, back to the basics..."

That's the opening line of my prayer journal today. My prayers in my {innumerable yet all unfinished} journals are all quite candid-- more so than when I just pray silently and way way more than when I pray aloud.

God has been working on my stubborn heart through so many ways.  But, I suppose that's not anything too new. Today I finally came to grips with the fact that I need to go back to the very basics by asking myself a question.

What do I want to do in life?

No. The REAL question is:

 Who will I be

Because the REAL me is way more than what I do or don't do. The real me and the real you is what makes up our very core and being. It's our person. It's where the "do" stems from because of the set of values and convictions you own and actually believe.

The aim of every true sister in Christ should be to become a godly woman.
But...that can sound so elusive sometimes. We crave steps, formulas, and specifics.

So how do we know if were are becoming a godly woman?

Becoming a Woman of God really is not so elusive.
But it also does not just happen. Nothing in life that is worthwhile just happens.

So, for the next few days I'm going to be looking at what will guide me to be, at my very core, the woman that God created me to be and I would love you to join me! :)
